Root Cause:

From Windows* 7 Onwards the OS can change the buffer size of the Cursor dynamically (64, 128, 256) and can also change the height and width of the cursor. During rotation (90-270) this scenario was not handled, and so the previous cursor buffer was not cleared properly. Due to this we see 2 cursors on Windows* 7 during rotation.

FIX: From Windows* 7 onwards when ever there is a change in the size, height, width we clear the previous buffer.

When changing resolution in CUI, the Power option name is changed

CUI

Windows* 7

Arrandale

Root Cause:

Issue not tied to changing resolution, clicking "Apply" makes the power plan in CUI take effect.

Issue 1: When any feature in UI is changed, DPPE gets updated
Fix: Extend the checks for updating driver. DPPE now gets updated only when any Power Plan changes

Issue 2: When OS Power Plan is Custom, UI always resets it to the OS Parent Power Plan
Fix: OS Power Plans are derived from the 3 basic power plans. The Win 32 API [on WM_POWERBROADCAST] always gave the basic power plans and never updated UI with Custom OS Power Plan. Using the latest PowerGetActiveScheme API to get the OS Custom power plan

Bug ID: 3176797

DVD

Windows* 7

Arrandale

Root Cause:

In the very first FC call, driver did not enable ADI flag if primary video was not present and did not do the check after that to avoid multiple regkey read calls. In this app, the 1st few frames did not have primary video. So, when primary video arrives, the driver did BOB based on what was decided in the 1st frame.

Fix: Irrespective of whether primary video is present or not, store the DN and DI mode in driver. When primary video comes, only then propagate the mode setting to HAL layer via FCBlt struct.
