K’UMPA Help

K’UMPA is the ancient Inca word for “ball.” In the game K'UMPA, you control a ball and move it through the dangerous labyrinths of an ancient Inca temple. With the help of the gods, ancient spellcasters have protected the sacred place inside the temple complex from being entered by faithless pagans. To advance into the deeper levels of the temple, you need to activate enough energy fields in the area you are exploring to be teleported to further parts of the Inca temple. But beware - the ancient god Hawcha will punish tardiness in exploring the temple on pain of death.

K'UMPA Basics

Tilt your phone in the direction you want to move the ball. Tilting the phone is tilting the plane your ball roles on. Like this, you can direct and accelerate the movement of the ball.
Magic fields are activated by rolling over them. Upon activation fields will start glowing. In the upper left corner you can track how many fields you still need to activate to open the gate to the next level. However, some of the energy fields will be deactivated when you pass them again! Also remember Hawcha, time is limited and in some levels quite precious. So keep an eye on the remaining time displayed in the upper right corner. In addition, when you finish a level, the remaining time is added to your score.

Temple assests

Ancient architects and magicians secured their sacred temples and holy treasures with malicious traps and powerful spells.

"Capacocha" - the ancient death traps lead to instance death.
Metallic fluid on the floor let's your marble slide - it will be difficult to control your movement.
Cracks on the floor indicate decay - eventually the floor will break and you will fall to death.
Blue arrows indicate strong energy flows below the surface. They push your marble in the corresponding direction - you will get fast.
Green arrows can only be crossed one-way in the shown direction.
Golden coins increase your score.
Golden sun amulets increase your time, while blue moon amulets decrease it.

This is everything our researchers found out about the great temple. So far, none of our scouts who entered the temple ever returned. Some old men from the village next to the temple told us tales about other mysterious things going on, like ancient deadly bugs deeper in the temple. We think this is somewhat hysterical, however.

Hints

While playing, you can press the Menu key to pause the game and bring up a menu. Here, you can restart the level, choose another one, or go back to the menu. The game play and movement should be smooth. However, if the movement/graphics lag behind (low framerate) other applications running in the background may be the cause. To solve this, try uninstalling applications running in the background if you can spare them.
