Renaming window

If you take a lot of screenshots, let Sharpshooter help you organize them. It's easier to give the screenshot a name when you just took it rather than sometime later, after you taken several more. This application can help you rename them when they are fresh on your mind.

Renaming Window image

When you take a screenshot with Mac OS X, Sharpshooter presents a renaming window. You will see a preview of the screenshot so you can be sure that you captured what you wanted to. If you don't like what you see, click the Move to Trash button to delete the screenshot. If you want the screenshot to keep its current name, just close the window or click Cancel. Sharpshooter's main purpose however, is to let you decide on a more appropriate name for the screenshot that you just took. Type in a new name for the screenshot and hit Return or click the Rename button. The Action popup button in the window toolbar gives you access to the application preferences, quitting Sharpshooter, and a few items relevant to multiple displays.

To print a screenshot, press Command-P or choose Print Screenshot... from the toolbar's Action popup menu.

You can change where a screenshot will be renamed to with the Where popup menu. Just select the Other... menu item, choose the folder, and then rename your screenshot. Sharpshooter will remember this location and keep using it in the future until you choose the Default menu item. That will reset Sharpshooter to use the default location on your system which is usually the Desktop folder.

You can also change the image file format a screenshot will be renamed to with the Format popup menu. This setting is not remembered across screenshots so if you want a different format for each screenshot, you will need to change this each time the renaming window appears.
