Resume 3D Screen Saver w/ 32bit and switch in DC mode, system busy

Power Conservation

Windows* XP

Arrandale

Root Cause:

Issue is fixed with 5148 driver. This driver has the check-in for interrupt issue that may have caused this failure as well.

It was originally thought that this issue was fixed with 5148 and later driver. However, Lenovo has since found out that the issue is still seen even with latest 5160 driver.

With 5160 driver, when system resumes from 3D screen saver, it gets really sluggish and reponds slow. When unplugging the AC, white vertical lines are seen on desktop and system is slow again.

To recover, system needs to be restarted. Pushing this to debug team for further anyalysis.

Rejecting solution: 14.37.50 is Pineview branch, customer was seeking solution on Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family driver branch.

Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family Windows* XP drivers are EOM and issue will not be fixed on Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family. Sighting can be reproduced on Mobile Intel® 4 Series Chipset Family CRB, so shifting sighting to be Mobile Intel® 4 Series Chipset Family sighting and resubmitting to debug queue.
