Snake Slider is a puzzle game for Windows. The object of the game is to move the green snake head-first through the exit. Move any snake by clicking the head or tail, then hold the mouse button and move around. You can only move horizontally and vertically, you cannot move a snake diagonally. A snake can eat certain objects, see below. There are several objects in the game:
Although mouse controls are recommended, you can also use the keyboard to play the game. By default the keyboardcursor is invisible, it will appear the first time you press a cursorkey. You can move the keyboardcursor with the cursor keys. When the keyboardcursor is over a snake's head or tail, press SPACE or RETURN to grab it. Now you can move the snake around, press SPACE or RETURN again to release it. Complete all built-in puzzles, 25 normal puzzles and 25 extra puzzles, to find out how to activate the auto-solve function. |

You can only edit custom puzzle sets. So, first open or create a puzzle set. Then select "editor" and the editor palette will appear. Click on the editor palette to select an object. Left-click on the playfield to draw the selected object. Right-click on the playfield to erase objects and snakes. To draw snakes, select snake object and then hold left mouse button and draw. If there is no green snake, the next snake you draw will be green. Click anywhere on the border to move the exit. If you've created some puzzles, please send them to bas.de.reuver@home.nl |

Snake Slider was inspired by Rush Hour (Binary Arts 1997), Nibbler (Rock-Ola 1983) and some other games. It was programmed in Borland C++ Builder 5.0, the executable is compressed with UPX v1.25, the graphics were created with 3D Studio Max 4.2 and Paint Shop Pro 7.
