This firmware update was created to provide the HLDS (Hitachi-LG Data Storage Inc.) GCC-4481B CD-RW/DVD combo drive with the ability to read DVD+R Dual-Layer media.Note:
This drive was never intended to be able to read this media, and as such this firmware update is provided as-is on a best effort basis. There is no guarantee that after updating to this firmware, the drive will read all types of DVD+R Dual-Layer media.
