Rift

As an Ascended, you can draw on the Souls (and powers) of champions from Telara’s past. These Souls are grouped in Callings based on shared experiences and traits – Warrior, Cleric, Mage, and Rogue – yet there is great variety within each Calling. You can play as a spell-slinging Warrior or hack and slash on the front lines as a Mage. You’re encouraged to experiment with each Calling and all of the Callings’ Souls to discover the path that’s right for you!

High Elves, Dwarves, and Mathosians, Kelari, Bahmi, and Eth: there are six playable races in RIFT, and each has had a major and distinctive impact on the history of Telara. Choosing your race will grant unique abilities to your character and align you with one of two warring factions – the Guardians or the Defiant.

Whether you’re planning to forge epic armor with the skill of a master smith or weave your first sorcerer’s robe, tradeskills are key in crafting a variety of wondrous and valuable equipment. From Fishing to Runecrafting to gathering herbs, trades are an excellent way to make your mark in Telara’s thriving economy.

In RIFT, character progression doesn’t stop at max level – it gets even more rewarding. The Planar Attunement system lets you develop your affinities for the elemental planes before and after level 60, unlocking special abilities harnessing the powers of Fire, Air, Earth, Water, Life, and Death.
